- Candles are very romantic. A great way to tell your partner that you're feeling romantic is by having a few lit around the room when he/she comes to bed. White candles are very romantic, and scented candles are nice because you will both remember that night if you ever smell that scent again. Keep some candles beside the bed and around the room as decorations, and pull out the matches when you're looking to set the mood.
